Significance series

The last book of the Sigificance series (Independence) came out!  Two days ago I started reading the first book Significance and yesterday afternoon, I was like "you know what, I have read the first three books plenty of times and I remember what has been going on. So yesterday afternoon I started reading Independence. I finished last night and was squealing. Instead of crying, I was squealing and do happy. Soon I will have to read all four books again. One of my friends asked me which series was better. Significance series or Morpheus Road series. But I was like they are two different genres and you can't compare them. But no matter what, I absolutely loved the Significance series. Shelly Crane did a wonderful job with this series.
If you like/love romance/fantasy/drama/adventure series I recommend Significance series.
This is the order of the books:
Significance
Accordance
Defiance
Independence

A full five stars for this series.

Book Review

The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen

Wow.  Just like all her other books, this one was amazing.  This was one of those books that I just couldn't put down.  Both Callie and Kayden have so many secrets that they keep hidden.  She is a "nobody" who saves Kayden.  He is a popular guy who tries to help Callie.
I give this book 5 stars just like all her other books.  If you have read Jessica Sorensen's other books (or even if you haven't) check it out. I can't wait for the next one.

Random

So this is a totally random post, that kind of has to do with books.

I am so excited that a few of my favorite books are becoming movies.  Divergent by Veronica Roth, Significance by Shelly Crane, and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.  These books are so amazing, so finding out that movies are being made, is just awesome.

What upcoming movies based on books are you excited for?

Morpheus Road

I had posted about the first book in this trilogy already, so I won't do that again.  But I will write what I thought of the next two books. The Black and The Blood  by D.J. MacHale.

The Black

This is an amazing book.  I did not think it was as scary as the first one.  I started this on Halloween after finishing the first book.  Some of the events surprised me.  When I finished it a couple days later, I couldn't wait to get the third and final book.

The Blood

A couple weeks later, I ordered The Blood.  I received it in the mail with in four days.  I was so happy.  I started reading it right away, and had a hard time putting it down.  Last night, I was supposed to be in bed, and I was, but I was reading this.  I am very surprised that I finished it in three days.

There were many more turn of events in The Blood.  I talked out loud to myself so many times.  I probably could have cried, I was that surprised.

I really recommend this trilogy, especially if you like horror. (There is not that much in there.)

In a month or two, I may pick these books up again to read.  It was awesome.

The Light, Book 1 of the Morpheus Road Trilogy

This is by D.J. MacHale.  Morpheus Road is a horror trilogy.

I got this book in 2010 right about when it came out.  I had never heard of D.J. MacHale before.  He wrote the Pendragon series. He had gone to the school my dad taught at and talked about his books and was selling his books.  My dad comes home with this book for me and it was autographed.  I was ecstatic.  Reading the autograph made me laugh. "Read this at night."  Because this is a horror story, I decide not to take that to heart.  The first time reading it, I did not read it at night.  I am glad I didn't.  This is a true scary story, perfect for this time of year, with it being October.  The second time through, even though I knew what was going to happen, I started reading it at night.  I had to put it down and grab another book.  It was too scary for me.

You would think almost all scary books have to have real ghosts.  That is not exactly true.  This has no ghosts (at least in the first book).  After reading this, I had to read his other series.  I have read the first two books of the Pendragon series.

If you like scary/ horror stories, I suggest this amazing book.    5 stars for all of D.J. MacHale's books.

Sleeping Gods

This is the SECOND BOOK in the Lunangelique series by Kristin R. Campbell.
I give it 5 stars.  It was amazing.  I love the way the author just leaves you hanging at the end.  I finished it after dinner and my mouth was almost hanging open because I couldn't believe I had finished the second book.  On the last page, I thought it was going to another chapter, but when I turned the page, I was sad because it ended.  I really recommend this series.  IT IS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!! I just love the characters and the way there are both angels and Greek gods mixed in it and mentioned.  Can't wait for the next book!

Lunangelique by Kristin R. Campbell

PictureThis book is amazing.  I had actually won the second book as an ebook on a giveaway, and had gotten the first book to read.  I was enraptured by this book right away.  The way Kristin wrote it, is amazing.  I give this book five stars.

PictureI started reading the second book and am not very far into it and it is amazing.  I really like the way the author ended the first book and then the second book begins like a few months later.  I love the way this series includes angels and gods.  Love it.  It is amazing.

Destine - Watchers trilogy Book 1 by Katherine Polillo

Wow. At first, I almost stopped reading this book, because I did not find it interesting. I really got into about 3 chapters in to it. I really liked it because, well I guess because I love fantasy books and this fits into that category. I related to it because I just read Macbeth and I have read about the Archangels. It made me want to read part of the Bible to figure part of it out. I give it five stars and can't wait for the next book.

Darkness Falls

I just want to recommend Darkness Falls by Jessica Sorensen.  If you have not read it, I suggest you do so.  This book has vampires, but not how they are pictured in other vampire books.

Darkness Falls is currently free on Amazon.

I put both of these up because I realize that there are those who look at this and live in the UK.

Enjoy the book.  I give it a full 5 stars.

The Immortals Series

This is not a full blown review on what I thought about it.  So, I just finished reading the Immortals series, by Alyson Noel, and I almost cried.  I give this series 5 stars.  I love books that have romance, any type of fantasy, or anything else of the sort. One of my friends said that I would not like this series, but once I started reading it, I could not put it down.  I had to wait almost 6 months to read the 5th book because I had to borrow it from a friend after not being able to find it at any library.  I read the last two books in 5 days.  It is that awesome.

Divergent and Insurgent reviews

Divergent is the first book in a trilogy by Veronica Roth.
I would have to give this book 5 stars because it was awesome.  Divergent takes place in dystopian Chicago.  It is almost like the Hunger Games, but I have to say much better, because they don't have to fight.  The kids have to chose a faction to live in, but to stay forever, they have to pass tests.  During some of the scenes, I just wanted to cry.
This is a great book and if you like/love future type books,  I totally recommend Divergent.

Of course, after reading Divergent, you should pick up Insurgent.  I give this one 5 stars, as well.

They are going to start making a Divergent movie, set to come out in March of 2014.  So better start reading.  Enjoy!

Next fav. author

My next favorite author, Shelly Crane, has a few series.  My fav. has to be the Significance series.  The last book of the Significance series comes out in December and I can't wait.  Another one of her series is the Collide series.  That series just ended and it was amazing.  You can check Shelly's facebook page out at http://www.facebook.com/#!/shellycranefanpage or her blog page at http://shellycrane.blogspot.com/.  She has more series to come but these two series are my favorite.

You can check these series out at http://www.amazon.com/Shelly-Crane/e/B0055Q9PWS/ref=sr_tc_2_0?qid=1347847918&sr=1-2-ent. This leads to her page on amazon.com.

Fav. Author

So,  my favorite author has to be Jessica Sorensen.  She has so many great series and even more coming out.  The first series I read by her is The Fallen Star series.  It is awesome.  She has a new book coming out called the Secret of Ella and Micha.
This is what the Secret of Ella and Micha:

Ella and Micha have been best friends since they were kids. But one tragic night shatters their friendship and their lives forever.

Ella used to be a rule-breaker with fiery attitude who wore her heart on her sleeve. But she left everything behind when she went to college and transformed into someone that follows the rules, keeps everything together, and hides all her problems. But now it's summer break and she has nowhere else to go but home.

Ella fears everything she worked so hard to bury might resurface, especially with Micha living right next door. If Micha tries to tempt the old her back, she knows that it will be hard to resist.

Micha is sexy, smart, confident, and can get under Ella’s skin like no one else can. He knows everything about her, including her darkest secrets. And he’s determined to bring his best friend, and the girl he loves back, no matter what it takes.

(Mature Young Adult/ New Adult Contemporary.)

Below is a teaser from the book.

“I’m sorry.” I hug him closer, and say my final good-bye. “I didn’t want to think anymore. It was just too much and mind wouldn’t slow down. But it’s alright now. I can think clearly again.”
He cups my cheek, his thumb searing hot as he traces the pad lightly across my cheekbone. “Next time come to me—don’t just run. Please. I know things are hard...

right now, but it’ll get better. We’ve always made it through every single bad thing thrown at us.” Beads of water trickle in his eyelashes, along his cheeks, over his full lips. There’s a shift in the air, one I’ve felt coming for a long time.
His lips part. “Ella, I love—”
I crush my lips against his, hushing him and melting us together. I allow his tongue to caress mine and let him suck the rain from my bottom lip, savoring the taste of me. Our bodies arc together, like we can’t get enough. Heat flows through our drenched clothes, warming my skin. I could let it go on forever, but that would be wrong.
