Sometimes the one who broke your heart, needs the most
saving.
Piper Sandervale never thought she’d see Sasha Koval ever
again. Not since he took her heart, ripped it out and obliterated it from
existence. Now, six years have passed and she has run into him once more at the
local fairgrounds in Las Vegas. He desperately wants another chance, and he’d
do anything to get her back. She’s willing to give him a taste of his own
medicine, if this is her chance for payback. But, will she find herself way in
over her head?
Something has changed with Sasha and Piper struggles to
justify the worth of past hurts to continue her quest for atonement.
Alexia currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada–Sin City! She
loves to spend every free moment writing or playing with her four rambunctious
kids. Writing has always been her dream and she has been writing ever since she
can remember. She loves writing paranormal fantasy and poetry and devours books
daily. Alexia also enjoys watching movies, dancing, singing loudly in the car
and Italian food.
My heart sped up thinking of the nights we’d spent together.
Alone with him, I’d been in heaven, utterly lost to the world. Loving the way
his fingertips had softly slid down my skin and sent goose bumps flaring
throughout my body, it was searing and his scent, intoxicating. How do you get
over someone like that? Especially after the day he turned me into a shadow in
his midst, left in the cold, alone. It was no different than throwing me under
the bus. At the time, it had left me empty, a hollowed mess that I had been
left to clear away, bit by painful bit.
But I wasn’t eighteen anymore and definitely not that
fragile, naïve and trusting girl I’d once been.
Blurb: The night Chance Duncan drunkenly kissed me on his couch, I
vowed my revenge. I finally had something over his head,
something that would bring him to his knees. It only served him
right. He bullied me for years and turned me into this messed up person I
am now. Though I didn’t know at the time he wasn’t that
mean little boy anymore. He was almost a man and easily stole my
breath away. I just wanted to make him fall in love with me, then
break his heart into a million pieces. Just the way mine was. Instead
he put the pieces back together and I started to feel whole again. Good things never last. He did what I was
supposed to do. Broke my already fragile heart all over again. Betrayed
and alone I fled my home town and started a new life where I wasn’t
in the shadow of what I did. Now he is back and trying to worm his way into
my heart, again. Though he will never know it will always belong to him.
He hurt me and I want nothing to do with him. Life has other plans.
Doesn’t it always? He doesn’t know though. Doesn’t know what I’m
hiding or who I’m hiding from. I never thought I would see Chance again
and I’m afraid that he’ll get hurt getting mixed up in my mess.
Though he is right in the middle of it, without even knowing it. I have to
find a way for us to get out, before somebody dies. My name is Norma Jean and this isn’t a
fairytale.
*This title is a new adult novel and not for those under 18
for sexual content and subject matter.*
My Review: Norma Jean is a great read. This was the first book I had ever read by Amanda Heath. Since I read it like two weeks ago, I can't remember what i was going to put on this review, except that I LOVED the book. I really suggest that you read it. I give it five stars.
Amanda lives in southern Arkansas with her husband and young child. She enjoys reading, writing, and drinking tons
of Dr. Pepper. You can find her sitting on the couch with
either her head in a book or typing on her laptop.
Amanda is the author of This Beautiful Thing, Fire
In Her Eyes, Angel Cuffs, and Norma
Jean. Wrong Kind of Love will be released this June.

I brushed my lips across her neck
again and watched as the world around us, spun. Her fingers twisted in my shirt
and she pulled my body closer. “I didn’t expect you
Araya.” I rasped against her ear and my fingers tangled in her
hair, bringing her lips up to mine. Her breath was warm and sweet against my
lips and I wanted to taste her so bad it hurt.
Melissa started reading in high school when she found her mom's romance
book collection and has been hooked on books every since. She became a complete
book-a-holic, starting her own collection and improving her reading skills.
Most of the time she could finish a book walking around the store, while her
mom shopped.
She wrote her first short story in high school for a competition in her writing
class. It was a child's book called 'Arnold'
- it was about an ant who believed he could do anything. Oh by the way, she
won!
She has written many stories since then, but this will be her first YA paranormal/fantasy
and the first book she will have published.
She lived in Mesa, Arizona with her husband of six years, and
her 3 beautiful daughters. They are her biggest fans and they inspire her
everyday. She enjoys spending time with her family, weekend dates with her mom
& taking vacations. Hawaii

he has nothing.
Drawn together after losing hope for their futures, Peyton
and Steve become best friends, but as they grow closer, a colossal secret is
revealed changing everything. Will Peyton be left to face her inevitable future

EXCERPT:
I froze, too afraid to move. The steps began to get louder
as each second passed. My heart was pounding to its own quick rhythm. A hand
grasped my shoulder and I squeezed my eyes shut expecting the worse. I began to
quiver uncontrollably, wanting to scream, to run as hard as I could, but my
feet were frozen. I could only stand there as my tears mixed with the rain
pouring over me. The grip was released,
and suddenly an arm snaked around my back turning me in the opposite direction.
I couldn’t muster up the courage to look at the person helping me. I could only
assume it wasn’t Aaron. Whoever it was had too gentle of a touch. Yet instead of
feeling relief a sense of nausea washed over me. Granted, I was momentarily
safe, but the emotions coursing through me had made it—for a brief moment—feel
like it was happening all over again. I didn’t want to be vulnerable in front
of anyone who could take advantage of me. With my heart going 100 miles per
hour in my chest, I tried to push away from the person and nothing happened.
They didn’t budge and their grip around me was too strong. After many deep
breaths, I got the courage to glance up into eyes the color of emeralds—eyes filled
with concern. My legs gave out and I sagged in his arms. Steve didn’t hesitate.
He slowly lowered me to the wet asphalt and sat there while I sobbed into his
already wet shirt.
Author Bio:
Kelsie Blanton is a fun-loving young woman from a small town
in Kentucky.
Writing has always been her passion and when she’s not
working at her full-time job, she is at home writing on something. Her hobbies
include reading, writing, singing (poorly), dancing (again, poorly), and
talking…a lot.
Surrounded by amazing friends and family that support her,
Kelsie is following her dreams. Happy reading!
I thought that Saving Me was really
good. I started reading it right before work this past weekend and was drawn
into it right away. Peyton has a diary in which she writes in daily. Kelsie
Blanton puts parts of what Peyton is writing in the journal. To me, that seemed
a bit too much like reading a real person's private journal. Steve comes along after something terrible
happens to Peyton and he takes care of her. That is how relationships should
be. The guy taking care of the girl. Overall the book was really good. I read
it within two days and could not put it down. 5 stars
Guest Post: Generally, when I come up with an idea for a
story, I will sit down and type up the first few pages. If I like what I have
come up with or have a good idea for where the story is going, I start mentally
planning. Sometimes, I'll get a great idea for the ending and go ahead and
write that up as well. So, I'll have the beginning and end, it's just a matter
of getting from point A to point B. I set a daily word count for myself and
then try my hardest to reach it. Also, I HAVE to have caramel apple suckers and
lots of caffeine when I'm writing. :) It's my favorite. I can't write without
it.

For a mother, life comes down to a series of choices. To hold on… To let go.. To forget… To forgive… Which road will you take?
For eighteen years, Jude Farraday has put her children’s needs above her own, and it shows--her twins, Mia and Zach, are bright and happy teenagers. When Lexi Baill moves into their small, close knit community, no one is more welcoming than Jude. Lexi, a former foster child with a dark past, quickly becomes Mia’s best friend. Then Zach falls in love with Lexi and the three become inseparable.
Jude does everything to keep her kids safe and on track for college. It has always been easy--until senior year of high school. Suddenly she is at a loss. Nothing feels safe anymore; every time her kids leave the house, she worries about them.
On a hot summer’s night her worst fears come true. One decision will change the course of their lives. In the blink of an eye, the Farraday family will be torn apart and Lexi will lose everything. In the years that follow, each must face the consequences of that single night and find a way to forget…or the courage to forgive.
NIGHT ROAD is vivid, emotionally complex novel that raises profound questions about motherhood, identity, love, and forgiveness. It is a luminous, heartbreaking novel that captures both the exquisite pain of loss and the stunning power of hope. This is Kristin Hannah at her very best, telling an unforgettable story about the longing for family, the resilience of the human heart, and the courage it takes to forgive the people we love.
Review:
Night Road is an amazing book. It drew me right in and I did not want to put it down at not to go to sleep.
My mom read it right before I did, and she told me that she bawled while reading it. I was warned that I would possibly cry during parts of it. And I did. I was in the car with my parents when I got to the first part that had me in tears. I looked over to my mom and I stuttered out what I thought had happened. I will not say what because I don't want to ruin it for those who have not read it. I was sad and wanted to cry through the rest because of that part and it being mentioned many times after that. I read more than half of the book today and finished it. I cried at the end because it was both happy and sad all at once. Now about the characters. It takes place in third person but follows two different characters, Lexi and Jude.
Lexi is a young teen who has been in foster home after foster home. She moves to Washington to another home, but this one is different. This time it is her aunt who she is going to live with. Jude is a mother with twin teens who are Lexi's age. She worries about them way too much and is overprotective.
Any teenager would think that about their parents, but Jude has reasons. She wants to protect her kids, but when they reach senior year, that changes. They don't really listen to her. They go against curfew thinking that just because they are seniors, they don't have to listen.
Zach and Mia (the twins) had become best friends with Lexi the first day of school right after she moved to Washington. They went to parties together and it was fine and not too bad. But when they are seniors, everyone is getting drunk at the parties and so do Mia, Zach and Lexi. One of the last parties before their graduation is tragic. The three friends will never go to parties together again. They "lose everything". Their lives are changed forever because they got drunk at that one party. Things will never be the same for Lexi, Zach, Mia, and Jude.
I am not going to put anything more, because if I do, it will give away a lot of information.
Overall, Night Road is a really good book that draws the reader in and takes the reader on the most amazing journey of their life.
FIVE STAR BOOK
I really recommend this book to everyone, especially those who love a little romance in their books and love tear-jerkers.

Book Trailer:
Excerpt 1
“I’m afraid I’m going to have this hanging on my conscious all day now.” he teased.
“That only seems fair.”
“Yes it does, but I have a better suggestion.” his voice slid over my skin like silk.
“Better for whom?”
“Go out with me.”
His proposal stunned me for a second and then I found my voice.
“So better for you?”
“I like to think of it as a mutual enjoyment.”
“I fail to see how.”
He shifted, and his breath hit my face in warm puffs. “Go out with me and I’ll show you.”
Excerpt 2
“I’ve never met anyone like you before Araya. The way you view life and love; you’re not angry
with anything that’s happened to you.”
I turned my head toward him, and a smile tilted the corner of my lips. “Yeah, I’m kind of amazing
that way.” I teased.
He rolled over, bracing his arms on either side of my head, and we stared at each other upside
down. His thumbs swept across my cheeks and his fingers caressed the sides of my neck up to
my jaw. Tilting my neck back, he kissed my chin, and the dip below my bottom lip. He brushed his
lips back and forth over mine, but the touch was so light, I couldn’t even be completely sure it had
happened.
“Yes, you are.” He whispered.
Excerpt 3
His fingers wrapped around the back of my neck, pulling me hard against his body. I knew what
he was attempting to do, but his plan was backfiring. My body sighed at the contact, and every
curve molded against him; desperate to feel all of him.
“If I feel you beneath me, I won’t be able to stop Araya. I want you too damn much! I want you, all
of you. I want to be buried so deep inside of you, you won’t know where I end and you begin.” His
breath showered my lips with warmth.
“I won’t want you to stop Ryland. I need you, all of you, now and forever.”
“And the rest?”

“I have been writing as long as I can
remember. I have been writing in the wee hours when my 6 kids were all babies.
With my last one I was inspired by the Red Rock Mountains in Southern Utah. I
started writing and my 12 year old (at the time) found it. She wrote on the
bottom FINISH IT!!! Every day I would write more and she would repeat it.
It became The Amulet.
I am currently living and loving Oregon. I
have 6 kids and a wonderful husband of 16 years (almost).
I hope you will love my stories as much as I
do.” ~Holly Zitting
