Feeling This tells the story of Jordan Rhodes and Kimber Maguire and how even though life throws unbelievable realities at them they survive and find each other.

What a wild ride writing and publishing this book has been! I am still such a newbie but amazed at the support and friends I’ve made in this new world of Indie! I started writing this book a few months ago. I wanted to do something that was different with a little darkness but still have light that could shine through. Jordan and Kimber just came to me while I was on summer break and the writing commenced.

Something clear to me from the beginning that I knew I wanted to include is the Multiple Sclerosis and the alcoholism. My mother had multiple sclerosis and she used alcohol to deal with it. Unfortunately the disease won the battle. The country club lifestyle is where I grew up so I kind of took some things from my life and split them in two for each of the characters. I wanted Jordan and Kimber to come from opposite places but have equaling life events to deal with. And of course the love they found was the most important part.

I am aware that the love they found happened quickly which is exactly how I wanted it. When you are dealing with events such as death and disease life is fleeting. These things make you realize how fast things can end. Living for today sometimes is what makes it all worthwhile. I hope you enjoy Kimber and Jordan’s story as much as I enjoyed writing it. I am toying with the idea of a Heidi book next…
