TWO ROADS RELEASE DAY BLITZ

TITLE: Two Roads
AUTHOR: L.M. Augustine
GENRE: Young Adult

18071872

Synopsis: The only person poetry-loving Cali Monroe hates more than herself is Logan Waters, the geeky kid who lives in the dorm building next to hers. Ever since Cali's parents told her she would amount to nothing, she has felt entirely inadequate. Friendless and alone, she takes on the mean girl role in hopes it will make her feel better--and Logan serves as the perfect target. He infuriates her with his obnoxiously long lashes, his all too perfect dimpled smile, and his complete lack of personality outside of his intelligence. It doesn't hurt that he's part of the reason her brother is dead, either. So Cali hates him, and he returns the favor. Thus, their prank-filled, insult-driven rivalry is born, and torturing Logan quickly becomes the highlight of her life. But when Cali's parents set them up on a blind date, she begins to realize Logan might not be as boring as she always thought. He shares her love of poetry, takes a sadistic pleasure in making fun of crepes, and he makes her blush when he calls her smile pretty. And hey, maybe those long lashes of his aren't that obnoxious after all…
Two Roads is New Adult Romance about finding love, standing out, and learning to embrace who you are. It contains some language and mild sexual content.

Kellen Handler is in deep.

Ever since he can remember, he’s wanted to be a professional surfer. And he made it, rising to the top of the ranks, traveling the world and riding every break he’s ever dreamed of. His good looks and reputation for living on the edge—both in and out of the water—have made him an international superstar. But when his best friend dies in a tragic accident, Kellen wipes out big time, spiraling so badly that everything he’s worked for starts to disintegrate.

Tour officials scramble to do damage control and demand he work with a public relations company to clean up his bad boy image. It doesn't help that the person assigned to him, Gina Bellori, has her own demons associated with the surfing world.

Against her better judgement Gina accepts the job and concentrates on repairing Kellen's tattered reputation, despite his protests and despite the pain it causes her. With her past colliding with her present—and Kellen in the thick of it—she begins to realize that some secrets can't stay hidden.

And suddenly, Kellen Handler is no longer worried about losing his career.

He's more worried about losing his heart.

Excerpt
“Jesus Christ,” I said. “You're trying to choke me.”
“Stop being a baby,” Gina said. “And hold still.”
I wasn't being a baby but it was the only thing I could think of to say. Because she was standing an inch away from me, her arms around my neck, her breath blowing on my face, and the only thing I wanted to do was crush her to me.
She'd knocked on my door right at five, armed with a shirt and tie for me, wearing a dress that, the minute I saw it, I wanted to rip from her body. I'd stood there, my mouth open but if she noticed, she didn't say anything. Instead, she breezed past me, thrusting the shirt and tie in my arms as she walked by.
“Go change,” she'd said.
And I did.
She was now trying to use the tie as a noose around my neck. But I was having a hard time thinking about how uncomfortable it was. Mostly because I was trying to concentrate on keeping my dick from standing at attention while she was right there.

What inspires you to write?

Honestly?

Everything.

My mind is always spinning a million miles a minute. Everything I see, everything I do, I think: Hey. There’s a story in there somewhere.

So inspiration to start writing is easy. To come up with an idea or a character or even a bit of dialogue and go -- I wanna write this!

But continuing on? Making sure the idea turns into a chapter...that then turns into more chapters...that then turns into a book?  I need a lot of inspiration for that.

My bills are a pretty big inspiration. I mean, a mortgage sort of has to be paid every month if I wanna have a place to live. And kids and cats need to be fed. Daily, even.

But my two biggest inspirations? One is my man. He’s a writer, too and he’s constantly prodding me to write more, to not give up. When I’m frustrated by a story or resigned over sales, he’s the one who cracks the whip and gets my ass back to the computer. There’s no way I’d still be writing if it wasn’t for him. He’s pretty freaking awesome.

And my other biggest inspiration?

You.

My readers.

No joke.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. My first book, It Was You, did phenomenally well when it released. With no promotion and as a brand-new author, I was floored when it hit the top 200 on Amazon. FLOORED. Anyway, I’d intended for it to be a stand-alone book and was happily finishing up If I Fall when I got a message from a reader. She asked me to write another story for Abby and West. She wasn’t ready to say goodbye to them.

That reader was all it took to inspire me to write It Was Me.

So, what’s the moral of this blog post? Um, if you want a book written, pretty much all you have to do is ask. I’m kind of a sucker that way.

Wrong Kind of Love Blog Tour ~ Review

Genre: Contemporary New Adult
The first time I ever saw Caden Harper I’m pretty sure I fell in love.
All that golden hair and pale blue eyes. He was mysterious and covered
in paint. I found it endearing and wanted nothing more than to find
out all his secrets. I gave that man things I would never give anyone
else. He blew it though. Which I shouldn’t be surprised considering he
is a womanizer.
So I moved on, well kind of. Jaden Harper wasn’t what I expected. I
found myself drawn to him all most as much as his brother. Maybe it’s
the fact they are twins or maybe it was the fact I wanted to live on
the wrong side for once in my life.
Now I’ve found myself dug deep in this game. Theres no end in sight
and I wonder when all the lies I have told will come back to haunt me.
Neither man should know the things I’ve gone through. Neither should
trust me. I’m not who I say I am. My past is full of things I won’t
ever share.
But where will that lead me when Caden wants nothing more than to
consume me? He won’t wake up to see he has the wrong kind of love.
My Name is Grace BreadField and this is my story.

Where can I buy the book? AMAZON!

I read it WEEKS ago, when I first received it to review.  I don't really remember much about it except that it deserves 5 stars and that I couldn't put it down. It took my breath away. Amanda Heath is an amazing author and I recommend that you read Wrong Kind of Love and all of her books.

She enjoys reading, writing, and drinking tons of Dr. Pepper.
You can find her sitting on the couch with either her head in a book or typing on her laptop.

Inevitable Blog Tour

Cassandra Clarke, fresh out of college and living on her own, isolates herself from the humiliation that rocked her world a year earlier.
Everything in her life is simple and easy until Logan West, the single father full of mystery and sex appeal, moves into the empty estate next door. A guy who easily attracts the attention of available women in town with one carefree smile.
Cassandra is not looking for another heartbreak and stands her ground, but finds it impossible to stay away fro...m the charming stranger when his four-year-old son, Oliver, takes an interest in her childhood tree house.
It is through Oliver where Cassandra’s eyes begin to open to a side of Logan very few people know. The rough edges and arrogant front shed away, leaving the compassionate, yet broken side of him exposed, and finally opening the possibilities to a genuine friendship.
A friendship that is constantly shaken by the undeniable connection building between them.
With temptation arising every time they are near, Cassandra fights to remind herself exactly why Logan isn’t capable of loving her the way she deserves, or is he?

I am happily married to my husband of five years, have three wonderful children and a beautiful feline companion that keeps me company during late night writing binges.

My love of reading has been life long but it was in early 2012 when I was inspired to finally put pen to paper and write my first story. Since then I haven't been able to stop, fueled purely by my passion to write a story and create characters that readers will enjoy.

New Adult romances are my go to books to read as well as to write. They are young, fresh and full of hope. What's not to love!

AUTHOR GUEST POST - WRITING PROCESS

My writing process is one that has evolved from when I started writing last spring only to come full circle back to the beginning. I went into my first short story without anything more than a small idea and dove right in head first letting the characters lead me. Once I was on my second short story I thought I should try to outline and have a full picture before going into it but that only led to wasted hours of plotting because once I started writing the characters took the lead and went out on their own.
Writing Inevitable I let the characters speak. It is my first novel and I went into it wanting a standalone book but because I let it flow onto the screen the way it came to me, the manuscript hit 85,000 words and was only half a story. The option to delete a few chapters so I could tie it up short and sweet made me literally sick. I wanted to write a romance where you saw the couple fall for each other, no insta- love. When I read a romance novel and connect with the lead couple I get let down when after the first few interactions you have a page or two telling you “and then they went here and did this and here and did this”, not enough for me. I want to see it. I want to hear what he said to her. The little exchanges they shared.
Like meeting a beautiful man with a giant scar down his cheek that when asked what happened tells you “Life sucks sometimes.” Um, gonna need more info than that and I’d want more info. I’d be on the edge of my seat ready to hear this gruesome mind-blowing story, not a rushed cliff notes version.
You know there’s a story there to tell and to cut it down and wrap it up all pretty just to hit a word count and give the readers a standalone book was not something I could stomach. So I ended it where I felt the first book had a bit of closure and went into writing book 2 with nothing but the characters speaking to me and the conclusion in mind.
In the end, that’s what works for me. Some authors have outlines and can stick to them and that’s great but my mind won’t allow that. I write a chapter, let it all spill out, typing faster than I can think and then when the chapter is finished I go over it and layer in the details and pull it all together.
I have an amazing critique partner and we’re able to send chapters back and forth to have that outside person relaying how the story reads to them. That’s a crucial part in writing for me. Once the book is finished I print out the entire manuscript and armed with a red pen and multiple highlighters I start from the beginning and read through it, adding little things in to paint a full picture and tightening it up before I send it to my editor.
For me, it works and I can’t imagine doing it differently but then again, I’m only just now finishing my second book. So who knows 5 – 10 years from now? The only thing certain is that I will never stop writing. It’s who I am and what I was meant to do.
